Sesame Street Birthday Party

Last year we celebrate Mia’s 3rd birthday with a puppet show show, sprinkles and her favorite (and mine too) show “Sesame Street”
As every year I plan a birthday party with my daughter current favorite things. You can check my older posts about her previous birthday parties. The first one all about cats and a cardboard city. The second birthday party Vintage Mickey and Minnie farm.

Sesame Street Birthday Inspiration

We love sesame street so much and even more after our visit to Sesame street Bay of Play in San Antonio. On that trip we bought the cutest Sesame street emoji T-shirt, and that was the perfect inspiration for most of the party supplies, we also included cookies, puppet show,  sprinkles and ABC’s.

The Puppet Show

I made a puppet theater out of cardboard, and I painted it white. The curtains were very easy to make with this vibrant fabric I found at Hobby Lobby.

I prepared and edited audio with Elmo, cookie monster and big bird, speaking and singing some songs. But let me tell you that kids were losing attention.

Thank God a really good friend of mine was helping me move the puppets and she began to improvise making silly voices and getting all the kids really excited! My advice for a puppet parties, would be to just improvise and be silly like no one is watching lol Kids will love it!

We also had a pretend Frozen treats store. Where they made their own treats using play dough.

Sesame Street Birthday Treats

For dessert we had a chocolate cake with layers of cookies and cream. My initial plan was to have on the background lots of balloon letters, but they were too big, so I decided to use balloons as sprinkles instead.

We also had cookie dough cake pops and funfetti cupcakes decorated with sprinkles and Sesame Street Emojis. And of course we had candy inside the piñata.

You can see sneak peeks of how I made the cake and the cookie monster Oreo cookies on my instagram stories, it´s saved on my highlights.

As favors we gave a  decorated cookie with the cutest label!
The favor bags are from Michaels.
