Spring Creek Growers Tree Farm
4 years ago we went to Spring Creek Growers for a Christmas family photoshoot and since then we have been coming back. It has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions in Houston. 2016 Photo by Amanda Walton Photography BEST TIME TO VISIT I highly recommend visiting during weekdays because weekends is crowded. I love visiting the farm around 4pm that way we get the “golden hour” lovely photos plus we enjoy the fire pit at sunset. They usually open the weekend of thanksgiving or a couple of days before and they close a week or two before Christmas. WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Reservation is required. It’s “free”. …

Houston Downtown Aquarium it’s one of our favorite activities during summer. You can learn about beautiful and rare species the ocean has to offer. I really like Houston parks but it’s hard for me to stay long periods of time outdoors during summer. Usually during summer we have either indoors or splash pads play dates, like story time at The Houston Museum of Modern art. Summer time in Houston immediately calls for indoor locations to play and entertain kids and adults. Since I moved to Houston everyone has recommend me to visit the Museum of Fine Arts, I really never felt a big interest in going until I saw they were having the temporary exhibition Pixel Forest and Worry Will Vanish by Pipilotti Rist, I knew it would be really delightful for Mia and me, a time of stimulation and relaxation at the same time.
