Swing Set Playhouse Decor

I was debating about getting a playhouse or a Swing set for our backyard, and I found this  Playhouse Swing set at Walmart, it was a great deal, about 40% off original price.  As we got the great deal and I really wanted a cute playhouse, we decide to give it a makeover while we were assembling it.

I will write a full post next week with all the details about how we assembled it and the paint and tools we used. This post it’s about all the accessories and extras we incorporate to the Playhouse. We spent a total of $50 for the accessories.

The upper level doesn’t have too much space but I do like having snack time or story time over there, I like having a chair and books to read up there (If I know that it’s not going to rain)

We added a 18″ flower box planter to the upper window from Amazon, I was looking for a smaller one, but couldn’t find a 12 or 16 inches long. The door has the cutest succulent wreath and a vintage letter sign with our last name initial, from Hobby Lobby.

On the side, we added a nautical bell.  We spray it with W-40 to prevent rusting.

We also add an over size pinwheel, and a chalkboard sign. The chalkboard sign is a wooden banner we found at hobby lobby and I painted with chalk paint.

  1. Hi, I just came across your post and it’s ADORABLE! We just purchased a similar swing set and I would LOVE do this to it. Would you be able to tell me how you did it and what products you used before you assembled it? Thanks so much!
